Description
Credit reports are pulled from all 3 credit bureaus. The credit repair company examines all the negative items showing on your report and quotes you a price for repairing your credit. They may or may not ask how you want to dispute your derogatory items.
Dispute letters are sent out based on your feedback from step one. The dispute methods include things like “item verify”, “not mine”, “never late” or “ignore”. Essentially you’re telling the company how YOU would like to dispute the negative item.
If a creditor doesn’t respond to the dispute letter, if they can’t verify the negative item they’re reporting, if they made a mistake and you were never late or if the item(s) are not yours then they have to remove the derogatory item(s) from your credit report.
